I made this self portrait after being inspired by a service trip in the Dominican Republic. As a volunteer I got to teach and work with brilliant elementary schoolers. They were not afraid to mix bold and contrasting colors at random as we painted rocks for their playground together. This liberated creativity empowered me to seek validation from within and to confidently take risks in my craft because that is when we are truly free--that is when we are boundless.

I designed this candy bar for my 8th grade graphic design class. I based its power off of my favorite superhero at the time, The Flash. The ingredients were inspired by animals who are naturally fast.
